Television producer Vicky Collins is an Emmy award winning producer with an accomplished background in news and programming in Colorado, the nation and abroad for diverse clients and audiences. Vicky Collins works as a producer for “NBC Nightly News,” “Today," MSNBC, ABC, CBS and PBS. Her contributions include the JonBenet Ramsey murder investigation, the Columbine tragedy, the Space Shuttle disaster, the Kobe Bryant case, Hurricanes Floyd, Ivan, Katrina, Rita and Wilma, the Centennial Park bombing, the Greensburg, Kansas tornado, the 2011 Wallow Wildfire in Arizona and the Gulf oil spill.
Vicky Collins also is a television producer of long form stories on important issues for HDNet's "Dan Rather Reports" and "World Report" and produced the documentary program, “Harlem Globetrotters: A Gift for the Troops.” Credits include the nationally syndicated shows “America’s Passions” plus documentaries for Outdoor Life Network’s “Earth Rescue” series. Vicky Collins also launched and produced the critically acclaimed programs “Show Me St. Louis” and “First Cut.”
Vicky Collins has six Olympics to her credit, most recently the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, where she worked for host broadcaster, Olympic Broadcasting Service. She was a television producer for three months for Beijing Olympic Broadcasting at the 2008 Olympic and Paralympic Games in China and with NBC Sports at the 1996, 2000, 2002 and 2004 Olympics in Atlanta, Sydney, Salt Lake City and Athens. She earned four national Emmy awards for her work with NBC Sports. She also worked for UK based SIS LIVE as a highlights producer at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India. Other sports productions include "Ultimate Dodgeball" which aired in 2012 on Fox Sports Net, the nationally syndicated programs “The Year in Sports,” “The Gorge Games,” “The Lexus Tomba Tour" and “The Jeep King of the Mountain."
Vicky Collins has also been a television producer of thousands of nightly newscasts, including coverage of the 1989 San Francisco earthquake and the Oakland firestorm, plus live talk shows, magazine shows, game shows, public affairs shows, children’s shows, live televised events and corporate and non-profit productions for broadcast, cable and the internet. She is passionate about fighting global poverty and the issues women face in the developing world and is proud to have made a difference through her video production work with BeadforLife (http://beadforlife.org.) Vicky is also an avid photographer and a Huffington Post blogger.
