I am a visual anthropologist and independent documentary filmmaker with international experience in field research, film production, and direction.

I believe that documentary film and the arts have the power to highlight and heal cultural wounds.

Inspired by ethnomusicology, my work explores broad societal issues through the lens of expressive culture (music, dance, art, theatre, etc.). Much of my work has focused on specific artists, festivals, and artistic communities around Europe and the United States, as well as issues of gender and indigenous wisdom.
