Special Skills & Experience:
Jerry Roberts has enjoyed a career in the weather and avalanche forecasting business for thirty-five years. He has forecasted for the Colorado Avalanche Information Center, Colorado Department of Transportation for southwest Colorado highways, as well as the Chilean mining industry. He has consulted and forecasted for various snow industry concerns such as ski areas, ski guides, helicopter and snowcat operations.

Jerry has provided site specific weather forecasts for motion picture and commercial projects since 1982. His latest outing was with Quentin Tarantino's motion picture,The Hateful 8, filmed in Telluride, Colorado. Jerry is skilled at communicating complex meteorology phenomenon for a myriad of clients including film production crews.

Mike Friedman’s career in the mountains as a weather forecaster and risk manager spans twenty-five years. His positions include lead guide and avalanche forecaster for Telluride Helitrax (Colorado’s premier helicopter skiing operation), avalanche consultant to the Colorado Department of Highways, Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad and various Colorado gold and silver mines. He has also provided pinpoint weather forecasts for a number of motion picture, documentary and commercial projects.

Mike’s own production company, Peregrine Pictures, produced and owns an extensive library of avalanche footage shot in 35mm, 8/70mm, Super 16mm and HD. His footage is represented by Corbis Motion. He is also the Managing Partner of Adventure Partners, an adventure consultant to the luxury resort industry.

Peter Lev has been a respected weather/avalanche forecaster and mountaineer for half a century. He has worked as a US Forest Service Snow Ranger at Alta Utah, was a principle of the Exum Mountain Guide Service in the Tetons, worked as an avalanche forecaster and heli-ski guide in Canada, and participated in seven Himalayan expeditions. Due to his weather and avalanche forecasting responsibilities he experienced a need for improved long-range weather forecasting, which led to his becoming a principle in Global Weather Outlooks (G/WX), a long-range weather research and forecasting business.

G/WX has primarily focused on providing Outlooks for the Corn Belt and agricultural interests. In addition, Peter has prepared long range weather forecasts for several Himalayan expeditions, including the BBC Mt. Everest George Mallory Search Expedition, motion picture and commercial projects.

Denny Hogan is one of the most experienced and skilled individuals in the weather and avalanche forecasting industries. He’s worked as a weather and avalanche forecaster for the Colorado Avalanche Information Center, various Colorado ski areas and is recently retired Snow Ranger for the U.S. Forest Service. He has created weather and avalanche safety products for backcountry travelers, ski areas, highway operations, state agencies, and rescue groups.

Weather forecasting software experience includes using AWIPS, Tableau, ArcGIS and Google apps. Denny’s strengths are communicating and collaborating with diverse end users, state and federal agencies, avalanche centers, ski guides, national snow researchers, and colleagues in varied settings.
